What is BITSAT
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a university-level computer-based online entrance examination for admission to the Integrated First-Degree programs offered at the three BITS Pilani campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. BITSAT is highly regarded for its unique exam pattern, which tests speed, accuracy, and logical thinking, in addition to subject knowledge.
Every year, nearly 3 lakh candidates register for BITSAT, competing for a limited number of seats, making it one of the most competitive engineering entrance exams in the country. The exam is conducted in two sessions, and candidates can choose to appear in either one or both. The application process usually begins in January.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed the 12th class examination from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent.
- They must have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, with at least 60% marks in each of these subjects individually.
- Only students who are appearing for the 12th examination in the current year or have passed in the previous year are eligible to appear for BITSAT.

BITSAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2025
Preparation for BITSAT must focus on the NCERT syllabus of classes 11th and 12th. The exam is known for its speed-based format and includes a section on English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.
