What is Manipal Entrance Test?
The Manipal Entrance Test (MET), formerly known as MU-OET, is a university-level entrance examination conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. For engineering aspirants, MET is the gateway to the highly-ranked Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) campuses in Manipal and Bengaluru, and the Manipal University Jaipur.
MET is a popular choice for students seeking quality technical education and a vibrant campus life. The exam is conducted online in multiple phases, giving students flexibility and more than one opportunity to score well. The application process usually begins in October for the following academic year.

MET Eligibility Criteria 2025
- Candidates must have passed their 10+2, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade, or equivalent examination.
- For B.Tech, they must have Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as an optional subject.
- A minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics, and the optional subject is required.
- There is no age limit for this exam.
