What is MHT CET?
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, for admission to undergraduate Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, and Agricultural courses in various colleges across Maharashtra.
MHT CET is the primary entrance exam for students seeking admission to government and private technical institutions in Maharashtra. Each year, several lakh candidates appear for the exam, making it one of the largest state-level entrance tests in India. The registration process usually starts in the first quarter of the year.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2025
- Candidates must be Indian Nationals.
- They must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects.
- A minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the above subjects is required.
- There is no age limit for this exam.

The MHT CET is an online Computer-Based Test (CBT). The syllabus is based on the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education curriculum, with 20% weightage given to the Class 11 syllabus and 80% to the Class 12 syllabus
