What is VITEEE?
The Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is a university-level entrance exam conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) for admission to its B.Tech programs. VITEEE is the gateway to the prestigious VIT campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati (AP), and Bhopal.
VITEEE is one of the most sought-after engineering entrance exams in India, with lakhs of students appearing for it annually. The institute is known for its excellent infrastructure, faculty, and placement records. The exam is conducted online as a computer-based test across numerous centers in India and abroad. The application process typically begins in October/November for the next academic year.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2025
- Candidates must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- They must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% (50% for SC/ST and candidates from North Eastern states) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (PCM/PCB) in the qualifying examination.
- The candidate’s date of birth should fall on or after July 1, 2004.
